IMCI is a notified body providing CE-certification for recreational craft (2,5m to 24m). In this field IMCI is the market leader with a worldwide market share of 60 % and 95 % in the USA (2010).
IMCI is a Brussels based, independent, non-profit organisation that was originated by Finnish born Lars Granholm in the early nineties. Today IMCI is lead by Ulrich Heinemann, who is also the chairman of the technical committee of ICOMIA and of RSG.
IMCI has 40 inspectors in 21 countries, including China, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, Brazil, USA & Canada. I represent IMCI in Finland along with well-known yacht designer Eivind Still.
